Axed Comolli defends his Liverpool record

Sacked Liverpool football chief Damien Comolli has defended his record at Anfield. Comolli spear headed a £100million spree which has failed to spark the Reds towards league glory. But the Frenchman said: “Criticism doesn’t annoy me because whatever you do and use, whether it’s scouting or data, you always get failures. But you have to have thick skin. “I’ve done everything in my power to make sure a player will be a success. If the outcome is not good — sometimes it can happen because you’re dealing with human beings. “I put as much energy into a player who is a success as I do with the failure. No one in football can say, ‘I’ve never got it wrong on a player’.”
